Dolores “Lori” I. Smith, 86, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Alverno – Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11:30 am, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Rixen, Shawna Roach, Megan Roach, Jesse Jacobs, Paige Decker, and Amanda Rixen. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Decker, Ethan Stevens, and Evan Stevens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:30 am until the service time at the funeral home.
Dolores Irene Donahey was born October 23, 1929 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of William and Mary (Petersen) Donahey. She married Tony Milder on June 18, 1949 in Clinton, Iowa. She later married Oscar Smith on December 28, 1974 in Wheaton, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 6, 2007.

Lori was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She worked for Nielsen’s Clearing House for 7 years. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, past member of the Moose, A.M.V.E.T.S., and the Fulton Country Club. She volunteered delivering meals for Meals on Wheels for 12 years. Lori enjoyed watching and was an avid fan of both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Lori is survived by her two children: Steven (Sandy) Milder of Clinton and Carrie (Dave Kaup) Roach of Clinton; five grandchildren: Joey (Amanda) Rixen of Iowa City, Iowa, Shawna (Ben Wierema) Roach of Fulton, Megan Roach of Clinton, Marcus Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Jason (Cheryl Boland) Wilson of Clinton; five great grandchildren: Haley, Claire, Rachel, Quinn and John; two step-daughters: Cynthia Jo Murry and Debbie Wiskur; two step-sons: Jay Smith and Tim Smith; one twin sister: Dorothy Miller of Camanche; three special nieces: Janet Plosch, Julie Decker, and Pam Stevens; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter: Cynthia Milder Levison, four brothers, and three sisters.

Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
