Boy Killed at Clinton
~
Clinton, April 3. – Thomas Farrell died as a result of injuries received in the Northwestern yards here. The boy, in company with a number of his companions, was playing about the yards and attempted to board a moving freight train. The train was moving swiftly, and the boy ran along the tracks, endeavoring to swing himself on board the side of the car. In doing so he neglected to watch the path in which he was running and tripped and fell over a box in which the car repairers kept their oil and tools. The boy was thrown to the ground, in falling, his head came in contact with the journal box on one of the cars and was terribly injured.
