Several from here attended the funeral of Mrs. Fred Ehrke at Wheatland Wednesday. Mrs. Ehrke died at the age of fourty-nine years at a Davenport hospital on March 20th after having been there about six weeks. Her sorrowing husband, four daughters, three sons, two sisters and one brother survive to mourn her untimely demise.

Mrs. Ehrke was born at Moline, Ills., and came at an early age with her folks to Wheatland. After Mr. and Mrs. Ehrke were married, they reside first for quite a while on a farm northeast of Lowden and later moved to near Wheatland.

The funeral services Wednesday were held in the German church at Wheatland and interment was made in the High German cemetery. Rev. Gathermann officiated. The Ehrke's have a lot of friends. All deeply sympathize with the bereaved family.
