June Roseanne Schumacher, 89, of Clinton, died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at West Wing Place, DeWitt, IA. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements. Burial will take place at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

June was born June 25, 1927 in Iowa City, the daughter of Edna M. Lage. She was a Rock Island High School graduate. June married Raymond Edward Schumacher on January 25, 1947; he died June 1, 2013.

She was a homemaker and worked as a home typist for A.C. Nielsen for many years. She also taught Sunday school, signed for the deaf and was a waitress at County Kitchen, Sambo’s and Henry’s.

June was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ and she was a great, loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Susan Whalen of Camanche, IA; Jeffrey (Mary Anna) Schumacher of Pacific Grove, CA; Jerry (Tami) Schumacher of Bakersfield, CA; Mindy Schumacher of Clinton; IA and Melanie (Brian) Drury of Clinton, IA; her daughter-in-law, Terese Schumacher of Clinton; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steve; Grandson, Paul Steven, sisters, Betty Farley and Mary Zadach and brother, Dale Baker.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton Church of Christ.
