Shirley J. Comstock, 86, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center – Clinton.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. There will be a lunch immediately following the graveside service at Gil's Ballroom - Clinton. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Shirley Jean Comstock was born November 27, 1929 in Thomson, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Josephine (Stage) Dearborn. She married William Comstock on February 5, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa. He passed away on September 25, 2001

Shirley was a homemaker. She bowled on a league and was involved with TOPS for many years. She enjoyed being a homemaker with her baking and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters: Diane Petersen of Clinton, Patricia George of Clinton, and Beth Robb of Clinton; two sons: Greg (Tracy) Comstock of Clinton and Rodney (Sherry) Comstock of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth Dearborn and Wayne Dearborn both of Wisconsin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, one son Dale Comstock, one son-in-law Richard Petersen, one sister, and one brother.
