Clinton Herald Monday July 20, 1987 p. 12 The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, for Mary McDonnell, 90, of DeWitt, who died Saturday in Fejervary Care Center, Davenport. The Rev. Jack Denning will officate. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Blazek-Hanrahan Funeral Home, DeWitt, where an Altar and Rosary Society rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. and a parish rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers , all grandsons, will be John E., David, John P. and Terry McDonnell and Tim and Roy Tague. Mrs. McDonnell was born Feb. 12, 1897, in DeWitt, to William H. and Alice Redmond Gribbon. She married LeRoy McDonnell, Dec. 31, 1917, in DeWitt. He died Jan. 28, 1926. She taught at various schools in Clinton County until 1934 then ran a family farm from 1938 to 1948. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, its Altar and Rosary Society and the Guild. Survivors include, a daughter, Mrs. Maruice (Mary Therese) Tague, of DeWitt; two sons, Paul Raymond of DeWitt and Edward C. of Davenport; 27 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Wolfe. of Lost Nation. She was preceded in death by a son, a sister and four brothers.
