The Clinton Herald Wednesday February 27, 1974 p. 8 The funeral for Thomas O'Neil, 79, 570 First Ave., who died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday with a prayer service at Dalton Funeral Home followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's church celebrated by the Rev. Michael Spekermeier. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today. Pallbearers will be Eugene Mallary, Phillip Feldman, Karl Burg, Lyle Mallory, Russell Jones and Eugene Chamberlain. Born March 19, 1894 in Erie, Ill., he was the son of James M. and Sarah Jane Angelsee O'Neil. He married Helen Mallory in 1926 in St. Mary's Church and she died in 1970. He was a retired employee of Chicago and NorthWestern Railway, having worked there 40 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, St. Patrick's Church, and Clinton Senior Citizens. Survivors include three sons, Thomas J., Sterling, Ill., Donald E., Norco, Calif., and James M., North Kingston, R.I., four sisters, Mrs. Karl (Carmella) Burg, Clinton, Mrs. Ray (Margaret) Cole, Albany, and Mrs. Russell (Loretta) Jones and Mrs. Pete (Anna) Pisman, both of Moline, Ill., and one brother, Charles, Erie.
