The Clinton Herald Tuesday January 5, 1954 p. 8 Former Clintonian Dies in Nebraska Funeral services for Clarence L. Prentiss, 75, former Clinton resident, were held this afternoon in Omaha, Neb., followed by burial there. He died Saturday night in an Omaha hospital. Mr. Prentiss had been associated with the Joyce Lumber Co. here for many years before being transferred to the firm's Omaha offices. He was born April --, 1876, in Belle Plain. His marriage to the former Maud Holleran of Clinton took place here Sept. 2, 1908. He is survived by his wife; three sons, John of Omaha, Paul of Chicago, and Major Robert Prentiss, Washington, D.C. and a nephew, Paul Holleran, Clinton.
