Carl L. Boehde age 86 of Clinton, passed away Saturday May 28, 2016 in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Pape Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 2nd at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Carl was born in Clinton on June 22, 1929, the son of Ernest and Vera (Shockey) Boehde. He graduated from Miles High School in 1946. He served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Carl married Kathleen Mohr on December 28, 1952 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Preston. He was employed at Clinton Corn Processing Company for 20 years and later retired as a carrier with the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, AMVETS, and Loyal Order of Moose. Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, and playing cards. He delivered Mobile Meals for 20 years and was an avid Chicago Cub and Green Bay Packer fan. Carl was a member of the Clinton Bowling Association and had been a Past President of the Board of Directors as well as a member of the Clinton Bowling Association Hall of fame. He bowled in the Thursday Mixed League at the Plaza and the Classic League at the Recreation Lanes. Carl is survived by his wife, Kathleen; a son Michael and his wife Debra (Andresen) Boehde of Onalaska, WI; a daughter, Diane (Thomas) Brinkman of Naperville, IL; five grandchildren, David (Lucy) Boehde, Dawn (Matt) Hoff, Rachel (Ben) Burrow, Daniel (Denise) Brinkman and Beth Brinkman; five great grandchildren, Clara, Amelia, Mason, Noah and Aubrey; a brother, Dwaine Boehde of Clinton and a sister, Deloris (Marv) Garlough of Clinton.
