Carol Rae Miller, 70, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center – Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Stoelk, Troy Stoelk, Aaron Schwanz, Marty Stoelk, Shawn O’Neill, Lance Blinkinsop, and Chris McDanel. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Private burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday. Carol Rae Stoelk was born February 5, 1946 in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Margarette (Kies) Stoelk. She was a 1964 graduate of Ar-We-Va High School. She married Ewing Miller on August 2, 1969 in Wall Lake, Iowa.

Carol was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. She enjoyed bowling in local leagues. She was a Master Gardener and loved spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by her husband Ewing of Clinton; five children: Michael Miller of Clearwater, Florida, Justine (Josiah) Hamilton of Santa Barbara, California, Kurt (Amie) Miller of Lindenhurst, Illinois, Ryan (Dana) Miller of Union Grove, Wisconsin, and Cara (Pat) Murphy of Clinton; nine grandchildren: Lindsey, Sabrina, Caragan, Klayton, Patrick, Pearson, Dash, Milli, and Mason; two sisters: Carletta Brown of Lake View, Iowa and Carman (Eugene) Schwanz of Wall Lake, Iowa; one brother: Mark (Jolene) Stoelk of West Side, Iowa; sister-in-law Carol Lynn Stoelk of Carroll, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Brent Ewing Miller, two brothers Larry and Greg Stoelk, and two nieces Rachel Stoelk and Alicia Brown.
