Keith Bartlett, 80, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, March 7, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center – Clinton.
In accordance with Keith’s wishes, private funeral services and visitation will be held Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Ketelsen, Richard Mussmann, Steve Dierks, Truman Bogel, Max Bartels, and Devon Bray. Kay Keith Bartlett was born August 1, 1935 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Elmo and Jewell (Spear) Bartlett. He came to Clinton, Iowa to live with his father and step-mother, Virginia (Wallace) Bartlett. He married Adele Kriesler on February 5, 1960 in Clinton. They recently celebrated there 56 wedding anniversary.
Keith was employed as an electrical engineer at Chemplex for many many years retiring at the age of 65. He was a member of the Lutheran faith. His family was his life. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Adele, children, and grandchildren and sharing stories with his family. He also enjoyed photography, watching golf, and taking fishing trips with his friends. He especially was fond of coin collecting with his granddaughters. He loved the outdoors and was an avid bird watcher.
He is survived by his wife Adele of Clinton; two daughters: Dawn Adamiec (Richard) Mussmann of Clinton and Cindy Quigley (Steven) Dierks of Clinton; one son Gary Bartlett ; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two half-sisters: Margo (Larry) Ketelsen of Clinton and Joyce Sansom; and nieces and nephews.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents
