Funeral services for Mrs. Leon (Doris Ann) Kann, 59, were held at Bethlehem Lutheran church, Lost Nation, Nov. 9 with the Rev. Craig Bowyer officiating. Burial was in the Lost Nation cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen and Duane Deerberg, Mark and Gregg Mohl and Tim and Jerry Andregg. Honorary bearers were Jason Earles, Tim Stoll, John Andregg and Chad Snyder. Sandra Snyder was organist.

Mrs. Kann died at the Jackson County Public hospital, Maquoketa, Nov. 6.

The daughter of Robert and Bertha Burzlaff Crosthwaite, she was born at Grand Mound Oct. 26, 1938. She graduated from the Lost Nation Community high school and married Leon Kann June 14, 1958 at Maquoketa. She was employed as a teller at the First Trust and Savings bank, Lost Nation.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran church, the Lutheran Brotherhood and the Rebecca Circle.

She is survived by her husband; 2 sons, Michael, Cedar Rapids and Monte, Lost Nation; 2 daughters, Mrs. Kyle (Michele) Snyder, Lost Nation and Melanie Kann, Cedar Rapids; her parents and 3 sisters, Mrs. Harlan (Florence) Deerberg, Lowden; Mrs. Gary (Alice) Mohl, Lost Nation and Mrs. Marvin (Linda) Earles, Port Orchard, Wash. She was preceded in death by a nephew.
