Funeral services for John Hass, 87, retired Wheatland farmer, were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, Nov. 10 with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery. Pallbearers were Gene, Loren, Brian and Don Hass, Merle Dickel and Melvin Esbaum.

Mr. Hass died at Wheatland Manor Nov. 8.

The son of Johannes and Emma Rathmann Hass, he was born in Clinton county Feb. 21, 1900. He was married to Lillie Schneider at Wheatland June 7, 1922. The couple farmed until they retired and moved to Wheatland. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Audrey) Petersen, Wheatland; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Minnie Esbaum and Hilda Drickel, Wheatland and 2 brothers, Raymond, DeWitt and Wilbert, Wheatland.
