Services for Grace H. Cutting, 86, Lost Nation, were held June 27 at the Union Presbyterian church, Lost Nation. The body was cremated. Pallbearers were Jeffrey, Jimmey, Jonney, Joddey, David and Dennis Hicks.

Mrs. Cutting died June 23 at the Jackson County Hospital, Maquoketa.

She was born Dec. 26, 1902 in Toronto, the daughter of Oliver and Louise Willert Mowry. She married Perle Hicks Dec. 7, 1922. He died in 1955. She married Fred Cutting Jan. 4, 1958. He died in 1982.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church, the Eastern Star, Legion Auxiliary, the Hearthstone club and Guys and Dolls club.

She is survived by 2 sons, Darrell Hicks, Wheatland and Allen Hicks, Dallas, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and a sister, Myrtle McPherson, Charleston, W. Va. She was preceded in death by her husbands and an infant daughter.
