Funeral services for Paul G. Stankee, 69, Wheatland, were held June 20, 1989 at the First Presbyterian church in Wheatland with burial in the Pine Hill cemetery.

Mr. Stankee died June 18 at his home in Wheatland.

He was a graduate of the Spartan School of Aeronautics and married Marilu Townsend in 1943 in Kansas City, Mo. He retired in 1983 as president of P. W. Stankee Co. in Wheatland. He was a former pilot for TWA.

Mr. Stankee was a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II, serving in the Air Transport Command. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and served on its board. He was also a member of the Wheatland American Legion and was past president of the Wheatland Community club. He served on the Wheatland city council and was a volunteer fireman.

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. Mike (Diana) Pollare, Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Larry (Pamela) Kuster, Wheatland; a son, Paul R., Wheatland; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Don (Shirley) Christensen, DeWitt and 2 brothers, Robert, Wheatland and Glenn, DeWitt.
