Mulligan Julia Ann 1918-2016

Julia Ann Mulligan, 97, of DeWitt, formerly of Monroe, Wisconsin and Freeport, Illinois, passed away Thursday evening, March 10, 2016, at Westwing Place, DeWitt.

She was born July 21, 1918, Clarno Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lee and Lillian (Binger) Rinehart. Julia and Edward C. Mulligan were married March 23, 1946, in Monroe.

Julia enjoyed, cooking, gardening, fishing, sewing, reading and crocheting.

Surviving are her son, Ed (Marsha) Mulligan of Freeport; her daughter, Beverly (Pati VanGorp) Mulligan of DeWitt; grandchildren, Ryan (Dawn) Mulligan of Monroe, Patrick (Jennifer) Mulligan of Freeport, Christopher (Ashlee) Mulligan of Harrisburg and twelve great-grandchildren.

Preceding Julia in death were her husband, parents, four brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until a service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9th at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, Monroe. Pati VanGorp will officiate with interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Schultz Funeral Home of DeWitt cared for the arrangements locally.
