Stanley L. Leeper, 81, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Mercy Living Center – North.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00am, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Schoel, Don Burken, Jim Leeper, Jim Koele, and Marc Petersen. Serving as a honorary pallbearer will be Roger Gammon. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.

Stanley LeRoy Leeper was born on May 26, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Frank and Edith (Sigmon) Leeper. He married Yvonne Nissley on January 18, 1969 in Clinton; she died January 21, 1973. He later married Mary Krongard on October 9, 1976 in Clinton.

Stan worked for Clinton Corn for 27 years, Dale Bott Trucking for 5 years and for Clinton Feed and Grain for 10 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, life member of the Clinton Moose Club, and a 25 Year Club member at Clinton Corn. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors.

Stan is survived by his wife: Mary of Clinton; a sister: Linda Lemke of Camanche, two sister-in-laws: Shirlee Thomas of Marion, Massachusetts, and Carol (Clarence) Harridge of Morrison, Illinois; a brother-in-law: Richard (Jane) Krongard of Vienna, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, and two brothers.
