Patricia E. McDermott age 71 of Clinton, passed away at her home on Wednesday February 10, 2016. There will be no visitation or services. According to her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Patricia Ellen McDermott was born November 3, 1944 the daughter of Walter and Darliene (Kennedy) Meighan at Schick Hospital in Clinton. Darliene later married Lester M. Brandenburg and the two of them raised Patricia. Pat attended Clinton schools. She married Ralph Liles in March of 1962 in Clinton. Pat later married Donald G. McDermott on December 17, 1977 in Clinton.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She is loved and will be deeply missed by all. She loved her grandkids. Pat enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and watching them all. She had two loyal dogs; Ozzie and Bandit. Pat enjoyed many crafts, crocheting baby blankets, cross stitching and watching hummingbirds at her bird feeder.

Pat is survived by her husband Donald, two sisters; Judy (Bob) Shepherd and Marge (Don) Davis both of Clinton, five children; Chris (Denny) Wierema of Clinton, David (Darlene) Liles of Preston, Shelly (Willie) King, Patricia (Shawn) Boisen, and Kelly McDermott (Bob Watters) all of Clinton, a step-daughter; Shannon (Bob) Nielsen of Clinton, 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a niece and a nephew.
