Patricia K. (Mrs. Wayne) Dahl, 81, of DeWitt, died early Tuesday morning, February 9, 2016, in her home.

Mrs. Dahl, the former Patricia Kay Steiner was born September 25, 1934, in Clinton to Fay and Edna (Levsen) Steiner and was a 1952 graduate of Lyons High School. She went on to nurses training and became a Registered Nurse. Patricia married Wayne Allan Dahl on September 25, 1955, at the Lyons Community Church. In 1959, the couple moved to DeWitt where they owned and operated Dahl Furniture for 30 years. Her husband preceded her in death on January 11, 2015.

Patricia was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt. In addition to being the best mom and grandma, she was an excellent cook and baker; well known for her wonderful cookies. Pat enjoyed playing cards with friends, watching the Hawkeyes and the many years she and Wayne wintered in Yuma.

Surviving are children, Cynthia (Larry) Hall of DeWitt, Rebecca (Michael) Karnedy of East Calais, Vermont, Scott (Julie) Dahl of Rock Island and Jennifer Marlowe of DeWitt; grandchildren, Nic (Tara) Hall, Hillary (Jeremy) Hentges, Hunter Karnedy, Will Karnedy, Kody Dahl, Jack Searle, Christopher Marlowe and Chad Marlowe; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Hall, Macsyn and Madilynn Hentges and Brooks Marlowe; a sister, Shirley Gramer and sisters-in-law, Judith Hammen and Juanita Steiner all of Clinton.

In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Rodney and Darrell Steiner.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11th. A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 12th at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Steven Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Memorials may be designated to Grace Lutheran Camp or Church.

Pallbearers will be Nic Hall, Jeremy Hentges, Hunter Karnedy, Will Karnedy, Kody Dahl, Christopher Marlowe, Chad Marlowe and Jack Searle.
