Charles (Bud) Meyers, Sr., 66, 1615 Iowa Ave., died Sunday morning at Jane Lamb Hospital following a long illness.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Fasse of the Lutheran Church of the Atonement officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Larry Swanson, Frank Henningsen, John Berge, Wallace Martin, Frank Allen, and John Rowan.
He was born Oct. 13, 1910, in Clinton to John and Regina Olsen Meyers. He married Marian Cassens Nov. 4, 1944, in California. He was a veteran of World War II Seabees and a member of the American Legion. He was a lifelong Clinton resident and attended Clinton schools. He retired as a postal clerk in 1971 after 23 years of service.
Survivors include his widow; five sons, David L., Auburn, NY, Michael J., Norfolk Va., Gary L., Davenport, Steven D. and Charles E. Jr., both of Clinton; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Allen and Mrs. Sylvia Henningsen, both of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
