Frank C. Henningsen, 83, of 936 14th Ave. S., died at Jane Lamb Hospital Monday evening.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Nelson of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Gus Carlson, Wallace L. Martin, Glenn R. Martin, Gary L. Meyers, Charles E. Meyers, Jr., and James McGauvran.
He was born July 8, 1893, in Clinton, the son of Martin A. and Emma Dohmann [sic] Henningsen. He married Sylvia R. Meyers June 11, 1936, in Clinton. He was a member of the American Legion for 58 years. He was secretary-treasurer of the former Schall Candy Co. in Clinton, and a deputy treasurer for Clinton County. He also was a salesman for Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Frank C. Jr., St. Charles, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Janice Keegan, Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Gary (Linda) Gnagy, Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren; one brother, Arthur A. of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Hertha Francescon, Clinton, and Mrs. Erna Willis, Camanche.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
