Mrs. August G. Henningsen, 79, of 911 Twelfth Avenue, South, died about 9 p.m. Tuesday in Jane Lamb Hospital, where she had been a patient four days. Mrs. Henningsen had been in failing health many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Snell funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 7:30 this evening.
Mrs. Henningsen was born Louise Domann Feb. 5, 1873, in Germany, the daughter of Karl and Philippine Domann. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Germany. When she was a young woman, she came to America with relatives and had made her home in Clinton ever since. She was married to August G. Henningsen April 9, 1897, in Clinton. He preceded her in death in 1929. Mrs. Henningsen was a member of the Rebekah lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert C. (Leona) Johnson of Clinton; one a son, Herbert Henningsen of Minneapolis, Minn.; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, fours sisters and one daughter.
