Elaine Alma (McDaniel) VanDyke age 75 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday Jan. 13, 2016 at The Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday Jan. 20th at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday 9:30 AM until the service hour at the church. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Randy, Doug, Dennis, Chad, and Easton McDaniel, Evan Crimmins, Rick Petersen, and Mike Highstrom. Memorials may be given to the family. Elaine was born on May 27, 1940 in Sanborn, MN, the daughter of Orville and Alma (McClelland) McDaniel. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1958.
She worked at John Deere in East Moline, IL and was at home personal caregiver for many years. She attended Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing a good hand of 500 cards and playing bingo. She had a great smile and was a loving caring person to her family and friends.

Elaine is survived by her three children, Steve (Julie) VanDyke of Ava, MO, Duane VanDyke of Portland, OR, and Beth Crimmins of Ft. Walton Beach, FL;
8 grandchildren, Holly Johnson, Steven VanDyke Jr., Chad VanDyke, Alyssa and Evan Crimmins, Stacy McCallister, James and Lorie DeVries; several great grandchildren; a brother, Gary (Betheny) McDaniel of Clinton; a special sister-in-law, Carolyn (Clair) McDanel of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Orian McDaniel, and two sisters, Barbara Young and Carol Highstrom.
