Eileen T. Clancy, age 81, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center North. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

Eileen was born in Clinton on June 4, 1934, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Lanaghan) Clancy. She attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in1952. She married Ronald Van Buer in Clinton in 1957. Eileen was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She loved her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s games and activities, reading and music.

Eileen is survived by four children; Josie (Mark) DeVries of Bellevue, Anna Kash of Clinton, Nancy (Eric) Dahlhauser and John Van Buer of Nashville, TN; ten grandchildren; Alexis, Mark, Logan, Jessica, Jenna, Whitney, Jennifer, Andy, Lauren and Jacob; ten great grandchildren and a brother, Edward (Shirley) Clancy of Westchester, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joseph in 2014; a brother, Thomas, and a sister, Mary Jo.
