Karen J. Tracy, 63, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30am, Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Church – Clinton. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm at the church. Following the services the body will be cremated. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Karen Joyce Roberts was born on March 28, 1952 in Lawrence, Kansas the daughter of Harold and Bernice (Ready) Roberts. She was a 1970 graduate of Preston High School. She later completed and graduated from nursing school at Highland Community College in Freeport, Illinois.

Karen worked as a nurse for over 40 years serving both Wyndcrest Nursing Home and the Alverno, retiring in 2015.

Karen loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spent her life spreading His love so that all may know his saving grace. Karen was a single mother dedicated to raising her daughter, loving her and sacrificing for her just as Jesus loved and sacrificed for his children. Karen's greatest achievement was raising an ambitious daughter that she had the privilege to walk down the aisle only a mere week ago. This moment was one of her crowning achievements in life and her happiness was apparent to everyone present. Karen enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus by being involved with ministry and missions. She enjoyed her trip to Israel to walk where Jesus walked and was baptized in the Jordan River just as Jesus was.

Karen is survived by her daughter: Amber (Prince) Bordolo of Clinton; her father: Harold Roberts of Clinton; two sisters: Cheryl Shadle of Clinton and Tina (Tim) Anderson of Clinton; two brothers: Ric (Judy) Roberts of Fulton and Mark Roberts of Bloomington, Illinois.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother and her brother: Scott Roberts.

Memorials can be made to her daughter, Hope in the Harvest or Frontier Ministries.
