Vera M. Miller age 85 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Oct. 20, 2015 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday Oct. 24th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Andrew Krogman, Craig Miller, Joshua, Kevin, and Kyle Sigel, and Troy Migawa. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Vera was born on July 17, 1930 in Clinton, the daughter of John and Melinda (Aude) Rittmer. She graduated from Miles High School in 1948. She married William Miller on Nov. 2, 1957 in Clinton. Vera worked at Curtis Company and was a homemaker. She attended Prince of Peace Parish and was a member of the Crosstown Bowling League.

Vera is survived by her husband, William of Clinton; three children, Steven (Susan) Miller of Bettendorf, IA, Sandra (Martin) Krogman of Clinton, and Debra (Michael) Sigel of Tampico, IL; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Fern Hartz and Jane Dunlavy both of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joan, and a brother, Harvey.
