Final rites for Mrs. William (Emma) Reinking, 97, were held at Bethlehem Lutheran church, Lost Nation, Nov. 28, 1988 with the Rev. Craig Bowyer officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Wheatland. Pallbearers were Arnold, Marvin, Lavern, Charles, Wayne and Deane Schroeder. Honorary bearers were Edward, Kenneth and Orville Schroeder. Sandra Snyder was organist and Lyle Hanson vocalist.

Mrs. Reinking died at Crestridge Home, Maquoketa, Nov. 24.

The daughter of Carl Martin and Friederieka Engel Schroeder, she was born at Maquoketa Dec. 28, 1890. She married William Reinking at Wheatland Aug. 2, 1907. He died in December, 1959. The couple farmed near Lost Nation until they retired and moved to Toronto in 1955. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran church.

Mrs. Reinking is survived by a son, Gilbert, Toronto; a daughter, Phyllis Border, East Moline, Ill.; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 daughters, a granddaughter, a grandson and 4 brothers.
