Mrs. Jay Pelham, 87, of DeWitt died at 9:12 p.m. Friday in Maquoketa hospital after a seven weeks illness. (21 Apr 1967)

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the McGinnis funeral home with Rev. James Avery of the Church of Christ in Clinton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Clinton. Pallbearer will be
Dennis, Darryl, and Dale Blinkinsop, Arnold Harksen, Jacque Otto and Edwin Briggs.

Friends may call in the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. toady.

Leora Belle Striley was born Apr. 24, 1880 at Tama, the daughter of Henry and Lydiann White Striley. She married Edwin Blinkinsop 30 May 1899 in Belle Plaine. He died in 1909. She married Jay W. Pelham, Jan. 13, 1915, in Clinton. They farmed east of DeWitt for many years.

Her survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. William (Gladys) Uphoff of Savannah, Ill.; two sons, Earl Blinkinsop of Clinton and Henry R. Pellam (sic) of DeWitt; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
