Paul R. Kibler, 91, of Clinton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center – North.
Funeral Services will be11:00 am, Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the Clinton Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Bianchi, Nick Bianchi, Brad Bianchi, Brandon Mink, Dalton Claussen, and Lee Kibler. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time Thursday at the church. Paul Richard Kibler was born on June 30, 1923 in Rossville, Illinois, the son of Denzel and Mayme (Garrett) Kibler. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. He served from 1943-1945. He married Shirley Davidson with whom he had two sons: Richard and David. He later married Jacquelin Krava; she precedes him in death.
Paul was a welder/pipefitter for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local #25 for over 30 years.
Paul was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ, Emulation Lodge #25 AF& AM, Clinton Scottish Rite Bodies, Clinton Moose Lodge, and the American Legion.
Paul is survived by two sons: Richard “Dick” Kibler of Fort Meyers Beach, Florida, David (Velda) Kibler of Clinton; 6 grandchildren: Lee (Allie) Kibler, Lexie Kibler, Heather Kibler, Carlee Kibler, Jeremy Dankers, and Brady Dankers; two great-grandchildren; brother: Jerry Kibler of Broadlands, Illinois, and his sister: Louise Foerster of Leroy, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, and two sisters.
