The Clinton Herald Thursday Mary 23, 1991 p. 14 Mrs. Francis (Florence) Kane, 75, o fLong Grove, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Davenport. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Long Grove, with the Rev. John Hynes officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church, where a 7:30 p.m. scripture service will be conducted. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Scjhultz-McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt, is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Brian, Bradley and Keith Grimes, Jim Breuwett, Jerry Hulsbrink and Jeffery Weller. Mrs. Kane was born July 28, 1915, in DeWitt, to Timothy and Mary Ellen Crowley. She married Francis Kane, Sept. 27, 1938,in DeWitt. Mrs. Kane and her husband farmed in Scott County until 1979. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in DeWitt. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the church guild and the Catholic Daughters of Isabelle. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Suzanne) Weller of DeWitt, and Mrs. Kathleen Grimes of Bettendorf; a son, Jim of Delmar; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Agnita) Craig and Nellie Lawlor, both of DeWitt. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Death date: May 22, 1991.
