Lydia L. Eacker age 95 of Clinton, passed away Thursday Oct. 9, 2014 at Mercy Living Center North, Clinton. According to her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held Monday at the Oakland Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Lydia was born on May 2, 1919 in Anamosa, IA, the daughter of George and Rose (Maruna) Bemrose. She married Willard Eacker on April 10, 1935 in Clinton; he died in 1992. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, camping, fishing, and gardening. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Lydia is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Borchardt of Hiawatha, IA; two grandchildren, Deanna (Ronald) Holtzman of Hiawatha, IA and Bill (Carrie) Borchardt of Manchester, IA; six great grandchildren, Andrew, Mitchell, Austin, Megan, Grant, and Camryn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, and five sisters.
