The Clinton Herald Thursday June 17, 1948 p. 18 John G. Mallary, 77, died this morning in his home, 249 Twentieth place, following a long illness. He was born in Rutland, Vt. Sept. 20, 1870, and came to Clinton in 1889. He married Bridget Elizabeth Brhan Feb. 5, 1902. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Thomas O'Neil and Mrs. Philip Feldman, of Clinton, Mrs. Edward Lynch, of Beverly Farms, Mass., and Mrs. Jo Verboon, of New York city; three sons, Dr. Charles, of San Francisco, Jyle T. and Eugene of Clinton; and one neice, Miss Ora Young, of Clinton and 19 grandchildren. Friends may call tonight or tomorrow at the home. The funeral will be held Saturday morning in St. Mary's Catholic church.
