Services for Mary E. Poquete, 86, of Willow Gardens Nursing Home, Marion, Iowa, formerly of Davenport and Rock Island, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Poquette died Monday, Sept. 30, 1996, at the nursing home. She had been office manager 20 years at Hobart Distributor, Davenport. Mary Kearny was born Aug. 6, 1910, in DeWitt, Iowa. She married Louis Houar in 1939. He died in 1954. She married Howard Poquette in 1970 in Davenport. He died in 1981. Memorials may be made to Daughters of Isabella at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Survivors include a son, John Houar, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcella Ruge and Margaret Mcgivern, both of Davenport; and a brother Harold Kearney, Milwaukee.
