The Clinton Herald Thursday July 26, 2001 p. 9A Mary T. Tague, 77, DeWitt, died Tuesday at DeWitt Community Hospital. A Requiem Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Schultz Funeral Home in DeWitt with the Rev. Kenneth Novak officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a Rosary will be conducted at 7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in DeWitt. She was born Sept. 24, 1923, in DeWitt to Leroy and Mary Gribbon McDonnell. On July 15, 1943, she married Maurice "Sparky" Tague at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt. He died July 15, 1998. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in DeWitt in 1940. From 1941 to 1943 , she worked as a secretary for the draft board. After her marriage, the couple moved to Seattle, Wash., where she worked at Boeing Aircraft from 1944 to 1945. The couple moved back to the area where they farmed while raising a family. She also worked as a secretary at Iowa Mutual for several years. She was a member of the Parishes of the Society of St. Pious. Survivors include four sons, Roy Tague of Clinton, Dave Tague of DeWitt and Tim Tague of DeWitt, and the Rev. Paul Tague of El Paso, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Lynne (Alvin) Kuehl of DeWitt, Mrs. Jan (Rick) Hafner of DeWitt, Mrs. Christine (Denny) Lemon of warsaw, Ind., and Mrs. Maureen (Mike) Frost of Twin Lakes, Wis.; two brothers, Paul McDonnell of DeWitt and Edward McDonnell of Davenport; 29 grandchildren; and 19 great-gradnchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother. Death date: July 24, 2001.
