Delbert H. Stamp, 82, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, July 24, 2014 at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 2:30pm Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Delbert Harry Stamp was born October 2, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Harry and Luella (Dalton) Stamp. He was a 1950 graduate of Elvira High School. He married Cherol Christiansen on January 14, 1962 in Clinton; she died July 13, 1986. He later married Dixielee Scanlon on October 3, 1987 in Clinton.
Delbert was a carpenter with Sorensen Homes for many years.
Delbert was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things. He also enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds in his yard.
Delbert is survived by his wife: Dixielee of Marshalltown; one son: Richard “Rick” (Cindy) Stamp of Marshalltown, Iowa; his grandson: Trevor Stamp of Marshalltown; his sister: Betty (Stanley) Kosek of Cedar Rapids; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and his son: Randall.
