Nancy J. McManus, 74, of Camanche, passed away, Friday, July 11, 2014 at her home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church – Camanche. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Evan Weller, Matt Weller, Chadd Weller, Patrick McManus, LeRoy McKenrick, and Paul Howson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will by Ryan Weller, Ethan McManus, Caleb McManus, McKenzie McManus, Tyson Weller, Alvie Gradert, and Shawn Ryan. Visitation will be from 11:30am to the service time Tuesday at the church, with a WA-TAN-YE memorial service starting at 11:15am. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.

Nancy Jean Holmes was born on January 19, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Eleanor (Streets) Holmes. She was a graduate of Clinton High School and attended in the University of Iowa. She married Donald McManus in Camanche.

Nancy was employed with Clinton National Bank for over 22 years.

Nancy was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Camanche and served as church secretary on the church council for many years. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye basketball fan. She enjoyed following NASCAR and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. She was also a member of the Camanche Kiwanis Club, WA-TAN-YE and served on the Camanche Days board.

Nancy is survived by her husband; Donald of Camanche; one daughter: Pamela (Danny) Weller of Camanche; two sons: Brian (Shelly) McManus of Camanche and Donny McManus of Camanche; 7 grandchildren, and one great-grandson; and sister-in-laws Diane McManus and Sue Holmes both of Camanche brothers-in-law, Bob (Bonnie) McManus, Camanche, James (Katherine) McManus, Washington and David McManus, Camanche; and several nieces and nephews..

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jim.

Memorials can be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
