Phyllis M. Edwards age 74 of Clinton, passed away Friday Aug. 15, 2014 at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday Aug. 19th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be held at Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria, IL at a later date. Memorials may be given to Moose Charities. Phyllis was born on Oct. 5, 1939 in Clinton, the daughter of Woodworth and Ruth (Hohlen) Judd. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1958. She married William Edwards on Dec. 17, 1968 in Chicago, IL, he died in 1994. She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Mississippi Belle Casino for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Women of the Moose. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and country music.

Phyllis is survived by her four children, Mark (Leanne) Smith of Clinton, Jackie (Terry) Johnson of Machesney Park, IL, Connie (David) Just of Clinton, and Jared Edwards of Clinton; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Sharon) Judd of Milledgeville, IL and Robert (Judy) Judd of Clinton; and several nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
