Marjorie (Easton) Behne, 86, Calamus, Iowa, died Friday evening, July 18, 2014, at Wheatland Manor, Wheatland, Iowa.

Marjorie Clara Behne was born November 8, 1927, in rural Calamus, Iowa, to Loyal and Opal (Lockwood) Easton. After graduating from high school, she worked for Iowa Mutual Insurance in DeWitt for a number of years. She was united in marriage to Lester Behne on October 27, 1955, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Calamus. The couple resided in Indianola, Iowa, until retiring to Calamus.

Marjorie was a member of the Wheatland Christian Free-Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lester; sisters, Frances Seaton of DeWitt, Iowa, Lucille Schurbon of Lost Nation, Iowa, Camilla Wulf of DeWitt, and Doris (John) Andersen of Davenport, Iowa; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a niece, Jessica; and her brothers-in-law, Dudley Seaton, Milton Schurbon, and Gordon Wulf.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound, Iowa. A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Christian Free-Lutheran Church, Wheatland. Pastor Eric Swensen will officiate. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa.
