Donald Lloyd "Jesse" Morris, 63, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Friday, August 22, 2014, near Maquoketa, Iowa, as the result of a vehicular accident.

Donald Lloyd "Jesse" Morris was born November 20, 1950, to Ralph and Bernice (Schneckloth) Morris, in Clinton, Iowa. Jesse grew up in McCausland. Following graduation from high school, he served in the Army during Vietnam. Jesse worked in many capacities, but his niche was mechanics and small engine repair. He was married for a time to Mary Ann Shannon. They had one son, Jesse James Morris.

Jesse enjoyed fishing, and racing. He loved riding and training horses, and roping. Jesse had the heart of a cowboy.

In addition to his only son, Jesse, he is survived by a sister, Lorraine (Tom) Mickelson; nieces, Cassie (Mark) Boomershine, and Cortney Berry; a nephew, Don (Renee) Mickelson; and 7 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Diane Brehmer; and Aunt Gladys Claussen.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Schultz Funeral Home. A Graveside Service and Interment will be at McCausland Cemetery at a later date.
