Jimmy R. Davis, 72, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, June 9, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center – Clinton after a brief illness.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at his home 617 6th Avenue South – Clinton from 1:00-4:00pm. Per his wishes his body was cremated. Jimmy R. Davis was born on January 1, 1942 in Vance, Alabama, the son of Lonzo and Maude (Daley) Davis.

Jimmy was a welder and truck driver.

Jimmy enjoyed fishing, driving, listening to country music and working on things.

Jimmy is survived by his life partner: Linda Lou Foldenauer of Clinton; three daughters: Rebecca Lehmkuhl of DeWitt, Connie Davis of Clinton, and Amanda Davis of Clinton; 7 grandchildren; two brothers: Jerry Davis of Alabama and Ed Davis of Tennessee, and his sister: Nancy Cooke of Alabama and his beloved dog: Tiny.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
