Maye Leona Pamperine, 93, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, May 07, 2014 at the Alverno in Clinton. Services will be held at 12 PM (noon) Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Maye was born May 26, 1920 in Red Lake Falls, MN, the daughter of Fred W. and Ida (Schwecheel) Marwitz. Maye was educated in the Minnesota Schools. She married Allen John Pamperine in Rothsay, MN on April 23, 1941; he died June 24, 1978 in Iowa City.
She was employed at the Clinton Garment Factory as a seamstress for more than 20 years prior to retiring. She had also been employed at Swift & Company and worked on the family farm.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Eagle Club Auxiliary and the Moose Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading love stories, watching westerns on TV and country music. She also loved animals, with a special fondness for horses and dogs.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Debra (Tom) Widner of Clinton; three grandchildren, Carrie Krogman, Terry Krogman and Cindy (Ken) Decker and great-grandson, Jason Decker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carol (Gene) Mess, seven sisters and six brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
