Edwin L. Dunmore age 91 of Clinton, passed away Thursday June 5, 2014 at Mercy North Medical Center. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held Sunday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Edwin was born on Dec. 5, 1922 in Clinton, IA, the son of Roy and Mae (Hill) Dunmore.
He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Carolyn Houser on June 21, 1942.
Edwin was a maintenance supervisor at Clinton Corn Processing (ADM) in the feed division for over 37 years. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Clinton. He enjoyed fishing, photography, and was very artistic. He was very mechanical, always fixing things, cars and home repairs. His sense of humor and generosity was appreciated by everyone. The joy of his life was providing for and caring for his family.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Clinton; three sons, Larry (Andrea) Dunmore of Janesville, WI, James (Brenda) Dunmore of Clinton, and Steve Dunmore of Roseville, CA; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy (Al) Determan of Las Vegas, NV.
