Mrs. Dorothy R. Hoover, 65, a resident of 552 Hitzfield Street since August 10, 1979, died at 4:45 a.m. Monday (August 11, 1980) at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Hoover had lived in Florida for 10 years prior to returning to Huntington, and was employed by Enchanted Foods in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She was a member of the New Hope United Brethren in Christ Church.
Mrs. Hoover was born February 15, 1916 in Maclausland, Iowa to Nickels and Christina Lorenzen Nissen. Her marriage was on December 2, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa to Mark D. Hoover, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Black, Paris, Illinois, Mary C. Jacobs, and Mrs. Kenneth (Patricia) Friis, both of Camanche, Iowa, and Mrs. James (Brenda) Peed, Woodbridge, Virginia; three sons, James McGrogan, Camanche, Iowa, David Hoover, Peru, Indiana, and Timothy Hoover, Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Clement, Dewitt, Iowa; 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Four brothers and a great-granddaughter are deceased.
