Albert J. Tillema, who has lived in Morrison for several years, and for several years on a farm near Thomson, was 72 years of age at the time of his death, which occurred Sunday morning at about 12 o'clock, after a short illness with pneumonia. His many friends were shocked to hear of his death as although many knew that he was ill it was not known that it was serious. He is survived by his wife and twelve children as follows: John Tillema, of Urbana, Ill.; Mrs. Ralph Wilkins, of Mora, Minn.; Mrs. Earl Boothbee, of Savanna, Ill.; Jacob Tillema, Mrs. Ralph Slager, Mrs. Chas. Hamstra and Mrs. Bert Vandenberg, of Morrison and vicinity and Clarence, Alice, Tessie, Cornelia and Georgiana, at home.
A J Tillema, 306 South Cherry street, passed away Saturday evening after a short illness with pneumonia. The family had recently been quarantined with small pox, but Mr. Tillema did not contract the disease and about a week ago he became ill with pneumonia which proved fatal. He is survived by several children, also by his wife.
