Beverly Joy Houk, the daughter of Ben and Jessica (Shafer) Houk of Davenport, was born into the arms of Jesus at home on June 8, 2014.

In addition to her parents, she is survived and adored by her sister and brother, Savannah Hope and Calvin James; grandparents Al Shafer, Trudi Shafer and Steve and Peggy Houk all of Davenport; great-grandparents Debbie Shafer of Wapello, Connie Wickman and William Brundies of Davenport; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was lovingly welcomed to heaven by her sister Hannah Faith; brother Landon Allen; great-grandparents Richard Shafer, Ed Wickman, Mike and Rita Metz; and her namesake, great-grandmother, Beverly "Nana" Brundies, who are all greatly missed.

There will be no services, and a private burial will be held at a later date.

"How very softly you tiptoed into our world, almost silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footsteps have left upon our hearts".

Memorials in baby Beverly's name may be sent to Share Quad Cities.
