Elsie Rose and her sister, Lucille rented a room with a family in New Market, while they attended and later graduated from New Market High School in 1937. She was a lifelong active member of Siam Church of Christ. Elsie Rose and her family loved to travel the United States and spent many happy years doing so, especially to Colorado and California. She even was able to visit Hawaii twice. Elsie Rose loved her family dearly right down to her great-nieces and nephews and their families.
