Virginia M. A. Petersen, 103, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Alverno.

Graveside Services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com

Virginia Margaret Ann Naeve was born on October 27, 1910 the daughter of Henry and Josephine (Passig) Naeve. She was a 1929 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Leroy Petersen on August 8, 1937 in Andover, Iowa; he died on November 26, 2001.

Virginia worked at Paetz Super Value in the bakery department for 13 years retiring in 1972. After her and her husband’s retirement in 1972 they moved to their lake home in Spooner, Wisconsin. She moved back in 2004.

Virginia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church – Clinton.

Virginia is survived by her son: Tim (Sally) Petersen of Clinton; a son-in-law: Dr. John (Becky) Riddle of Memphis, Tennessee; a granddaughter: Trisha (Aaron) Casler of Des Moines, Iowa, a grandson: John Riddle, Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; and two great-grandchildren: Ellie & Cole Casler.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter: Patricia; and three brothers: Lloyd, Leonard, and Reynold Naeve.
