Richard G. Gifford, 82, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his home in Clinton.
There will no services or visitation per his wishes the body has been cremated. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Richard Grant Gifford was born on October 17, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of LeRoy and Elsie (Grant) Gifford. He was a 1949 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Luella Flack on September 3, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army.
He was employed at Clinton Corn/ADM for 41 years retiring in 1994 as a maintenance foreman.
He was an avid walleye fisherman.
He is survived by his wife: Luella of Clinton; a son Brian (Kelly) Gifford , one granddaughter and a great-grandson; two brothers: Robert & Russell Gifford.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
