Douglas W. Fulton age 70 of Clinton, died Tuesday April 15, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. According to family wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service is to be held. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be given to the Clinton Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Doug was born on March 21, 1944 in Clinton, the son of William and Virginia (Moore) Fulton. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1962. Doug married Linda Blunt on Aug. 26, 1962 in Clinton. He worked for International Paper as a graphics supervisor for over 32 years. He also worked for W.R.E. Color Tech in Ohio as a salesman and drove Clinton City Bus for four years. Doug enjoyed fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and swimming. He had a great love for animals, especially his dog, Tootsie.

Doug is survived by his wife, Linda of Clinton; two children, Amy (Mike) Kroll of Erie, IL and Brian (Melissa) Fulton of Clinton; four grandchildren, Justin, Amber, D.J., and Kerri; five great grandchildren, Mitchell, Nicholas, Madison, Samuel, and Ava; two brothers, Charles (Carol) Fulton of Clinton and William (Alice) Fulton of Green Bay, WI; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
