MRS. HERMAN BARTELS

Mrs. Herman Bartels, 60, 121 1/2 North Fourth street, died unexpectedly in her home after a lingering illness. The body is in the Dalton funeral home, where funeral arrangements are being made.

Mary Buckley was born Aug. 28, 1887, in Center township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Buckley. She was a resident of Clinton for 22 years. She married Nov. 28, 1909 in DeWitt.

Surviving are her husband, sons and daughters Herman Jr., Herbert, Mrs. Paul W. Donahue, Norma, Walter, Francis, Bernice, Alberta, Ella Mae and Harlan, all of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. Harlan Sparks of Charlotte, there brothers, William and George of DeWitt and Frank of Chicago; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
